Lake Lord Publishing

Just a corner of the busy internet where I can make announcements and meet my listeners/readers.
More of my rambling thoughts are available on my podcast, Goadkicker X, which is available wherever great podcasts are found.

Well, it was bound to happen. I was updating the site and managed to erase all of my past blog posts. I have not found their backup copies as of yet, but then again tabula rasa is usually my style anyway.

The new novel will be out soon. No spoilers... not even a title! This one is being published by Omaha Bound Entertainment, not self published, so I will pass along information as it fits their timeline. I am pretty excited about this one, so much so that I have deemed it the start of Carl D Smith Season 3. Okay, maybe I will give you one spoiler... it's about vampires and is based on some characters long-time followers will recognize.

Also on the horizon is a new science fiction project named More Than Rust. It will be a humorous space adventure centered on a frontier scavengers in Deep Space. Each novella length story will be made available as a separate, and cheap, e-book download. Will it be collected and released as a physical book? Time will tell. Don't trade wait on this one in the meantime.

And, as a surprise to everyone including myself, my podcast is back on the air. This time it is being published under the title Goadkicker X. You can find it at the link embedded in the button to the right, or on your favorite platform. For those of you new to Lake Lord and or Goadkicker, the podcast looks at the world of nerd and geek culture from a novel angle. Rather than just cover the same "review and preview" ground already covered by a million other shows, we talk about the emotional, social, psychological, financial, artistic, and maybe even the spiritual facets of nerd media. We also challenge those in the community to be more responsible with their consumption, and rethink the cargo cult geekdom has become.

Lots in store for 2021 gang. I am super excited for this next phase of my writing career. I have 3 novels in the works that will ensure there is a little something for everybody in the Lake Lord Publishing category. Glad to have you along for the ride.
